Swachhta Pakhwada – 2024

The Eco-Club at Salwan Boys Sr Sec School, established under the Samagra Shiksha initiative, encourages students to engage in impactful, eco-friendly activities and projects. This aims to foster awareness and understanding of current environmental issues, while cultivating the right mindset and attitudes to effectively address them. From September 01 2024 to September 15, 2024, the Eco-Club of our school observed a 15-day Swachhata Pakhwada, with various events aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness.

The programme began with Swachhata Shapath Day, where students and staff took an oath to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. This was followed by Swachhata Awareness Days, which included informative sessions on cleanliness and hygiene practices. During Community Outreach Days, students engaged with the local community to spread awareness about cleanliness and waste management. Green School Drive Day focused on planting trees and creating a greener campus environment, while Swachhata Participation Days encouraged active participation in maintaining the school’s cleanliness. Hand Wash Day was dedicated to teaching proper handwashing techniques, and Personal Hygiene Day focused on personal cleanliness and hygiene practices. The Swachhata School Exhibition Day showcased student projects related to cleanliness, health, and hygiene. The campaign concluded with Swachhata Action Plan Day, where students presented plans to maintain cleanliness in the future, followed by a Prize Distribution Day to reward participants for their efforts throughout the Swachhata Pakhwada. This campaign successfully raised awareness and fostered a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene among students, staff, and the community. ‎
