“Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign was initiated as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage households to proudly display the Indian Tricolour, commemorating India’s independence. The objective is to inspire the citizens to fly Tiranga at their homes and share their pride by uploading selfies online.

To promote patriotism and celebrate the spirit of Independence, Salwan Boys Sr Sec School organized a “Tiranga Yatra” on 13 Aug 2024. Teachers, staff members and students from the school participated enthusiastically in the event that began at 8:00 a.m. from the school premises. The participants carried national flags, banners with patriotic slogans and passed through the school’s neighborhood spreading the message of unity and patriotism. Students sang patriotic songs and shouted slogans with great fervour, showcasing their love for the nation. Motivated by their josh, many local residents also joined the Yatra enroute.

During the Yatra, the students requested and encouraged the residents to hoist the national flag at their homes as a mark of respect to all those who martyred their lives for the nation’s freedom. The Yatra concluded at 9:30 a.m. with a brief ceremony at the school, where the participants took the “Tiranga Pledge” to hoist the national flag at their homes and uphold the values of freedom and unity. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of national pride and responsibility among the students and staff.
