Samvidhan Divas, or Constitution Day, is celebrated annually on 26th November to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution. This day serves as a reminder of the principles, values, rights, and duties enshrined in the Constitution. Initiated by the Government of India in 2015 to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, it emphasizes the importance of constitutional governance.
At Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School, Samvidhan Divas 2024 was celebrated on 26th November 2024 with great enthusiasm through three key activities:
1. Preamble Recitation Competition
Held during the morning assembly, this competition witnessed 15 students reciting the Preamble with confidence and clarity. The winners were:
First Position: Prateek Raj (VII-B)
Second Position (Shared): Lakshya (IX-B) and Yogesh (XI-Science)
Third Position: Himanshu (VII-B)
This activity aimed to encourage students to understand and embrace the core values of the Preamble.
2. Samvidhan Divas Quiz 2024
Organized online by the Government of India, the quiz link was shared with students via class groups. Participants received certificates for their participation, and the quiz provided an engaging platform to enhance their knowledge of the Indian Constitution.
3. Constitution Display Board
A vibrant display board, created by Class VII-B students, showcased creative write-ups about the Constitution’s formation, key features, amendments, and functions.
This initiative fostered a sense of pride, responsibility, and awareness among students about their constitutional rights and duties.
