On December 10, 2024, the Legal Literacy Club of Salwan Boys Sr. Sec. School celebrated Human Rights Day with an interactive session. Advocate Tejasvi Goel from Tis Hazari Court, affiliated to Delhi State Legal Services Authority, spoke to students from classes VI to X.
He explained the importance of the Constitution, which took nearly three years to create. Advocate Goel shared stories about how human rights were ignored during British rule. He talked about important rights like the Right to Freedom, Right to Speech, and Right to Education. He also explained laws that protect children and encouraged students to follow their duties, such as keeping the environment clean, planting trees, and helping others.
The session concluded with an engaging Question and Answer round, where students eagerly asked questions related to Constitution.
