Education World

The School is proud to announce one more glittering feather in its cap. We have been adjudged 3rd in Delhi & NCR Boys Day School and 33rd rank all over India by the prestigious Education World. Principal Mrs. Saroj Achra was felicitated in a grand event with a certificate of Excellence and also a gift voucher of Rs. 1,00,000/- for the students.


Students of class X won first prize in Model Making in Zonal Science Exhibition held at SKV, Old Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi. The Model was of a hand charger for mobile phones. Master Mohit Das of class VI also grabbed first position in scientoon making. Thumbs up to science faculty.

Atal Tinkering Laboratory

 Niti Aayog has selected the Salwan Boys School for installation of ‘Atal Tinkering Laboratory’ wherein the students will learn and enjoy science in a more exciting and innovative way.

 

ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). 
In order to foster inventiveness among students, ATL can conduct different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, lecture series etc. at periodic intervals.

• Salwan Boys School Cricket team bought laurel to our school by winning the Times NIE Cremica T20 Cricket Tournament on 04th February 2015.

• On the occasion of india’s first prime minister jawaharlal nehru’s 125’th birth anniversary. Children’s day was
    celebrated in the school on 14’th november 2014.various activities including painting competition on “Save
   Water For BetterLiving” them and sports competition were conducted in which the students participated
    whole hardedly .


• On this occasion fifty selected students of class VIII’th and IX’th of an school participated in the ‘Initiative for
    Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS)’ a research based science fair for students at Salwan Public School.


• On 21 november our student of class 12’th visited the BML Munjal University (BMU) campus at gurgaon on
    21 november 2014. The students enjoyed their visit and returened motivated to became skilled enthical
    leaders knowledgeable and overflowing with life skills required for success. 

 
 

• Four students from our school participated in the prestigious TSC conducted at Delhi Cantt from 16 to 26 Aug
    2014.


• Cadets from our school participated in the 1’st CATC camp held at Karala, from 26 dec 2013-04 Jan 2014, while     twenty volunteered to attend the 2’nd camp from 05 Jan -14 Jan 2014. The school contigent bagged the
    Runners up trophy for the Drill Competition, and also won 10 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze individual medals in
    various Competition. The achievement were bettered during the CATC camp at Badli (13 May -22 May 2014)
    attended by 25 cadets from our school, where the marching contingent won the Drill Competition Trophy in
    addition to 5 gold and 3 individual silver medels in inter company competition.


• 35 students were selected to participated in PM Narendra Modi’s Flag Hoisting ceremony at Red Fort on
    15 Aug 2014.


• Rajesh Tangri, Rishabh Drall, Prashant vashist and Mulkit Bhat represented U-17 Coca Cola XI India Team
    against National U-17 Bangladesh Team for two matches played at delhi in Jun 2014.


• Master Shivam Chauhan has been selected as an overseas player for Harrow St Mary’s Cricket Club, England
    to display his wide array of master shots in the prestigious Middlesex Championship Cricket League
    (Division 1), London for the entire 2014 season.


• Another feather in the school’s cap was the selection of Master Sufiyan Alam to represent  Goa Cricket
    Association in the under-19 Vindo Mankad Trophy  (2013-14) and Cooch Behar Trophy (2013-14), organised
    by the Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI).


• An honorable and prestigious cup of Dare Devil is won by our students this year by defeating Delhi Public
    School, mathura Road Shivam Chauhan bagged best Batsman and Sahil Khattari won  reward of best bowler.

 

 



1. On 21/08/2014, Mr. H.K Sehgal alumnae of our school are visiting the school at 9:30 AM to address the Students. He was professor IIT, Delhi and retired Vice Chancellor, Kanpur University.

2. Our student master Ashwani has been awarded with certificated of merit for outstanding academic performance and for being among the top 0.1 percent of successful candidate in Hindi Elective.

3. Our ANO (NCC Officer) Mr. Ghanshyam Gupta has been awarded with best ANO award by Defence Minister (State) of India.

4. On 15 Aug, 2014, 30 NCC Cadets of our school participated in Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Red Fort. They all were awarded with wrist watches and certificates of appreciation.

5. This year Independence Day was celebrated on 14/08/14 with the sister schools of Salwan of Rajinder Nagar in Salwan Public School Campus.

6.Director cum actor “Mr. Amol Gupte” was the chief Guest. On the occasion a cultural programme action song, patriotic song, kathak dance, march past by N.C.C cadet of SBS were presented. “A Talk show “was also organized to ask questions from Mr. Amole Gupte.

 

 

We created history once again as our school has won Dare Devils School Cup T-20 tournament at Jamia Mulia Islamia Ground by defeating Delhi Public School (Mathura Road) by 8 wicket on 19 Dec, 2013.

 

A remarkable achievement of our school winning Coca Cola Cup U-16 has made us proud again. Our school beat Vidya Jain Public School, Rohini by 7 wickets in the final and won the title in the Coca Cola Cup U-16 Inter School Cricket Tournament on 16 Dec, 2013. Our school received a cash award of Rs. 50, 000/-.

 
 

School wins Under- 16 Coca Cola championship trophy
History was recast on Tuesday, 30 April, 2013.When Salwan Boys Sr Sec School become National Champions by wining Under- 16 Coca Cola Championship Trophy, the final match was played between Salwan Boys School and C.A.D Inter College, Allahabad at Jamia Milia University Ground. Nitin Tanwar was adjndped as player of the tournament and Kaif Ahmed, the best batsman.

A small party was organized in Salwan Public School on 7/05/13 to felicitate to the young cricketers who brought laurels to the School by winning this prestigious cup. Mr Amit Singla (Director of Education) NCT, Delhi,Mr.Sushil Dutt Salwan , Chairman of Salwan Education Trust and Sh. Sanjay Bhardwaj, Coach graced the occasion by their valuable presence.

Seven students of Salwan Boys’ School have made us proud by being selected in Under-16 cricket tournament of National Level in Sri-Lanka from 27th May to 3rd June.
